Abstract Waterflooding is one of the most common secondary recovery methods in oil and gas industry. Globally, this process sometimes suffers a technical failure inefficiency. Therefore, better understanding geology, reservoir characteristics, rock typing discrimination, hydraulic flow units, production data essential to analyze reasons mechanisms water injection wells. Water was reported Middle Miocene Hammam Faraun at El Morgan field Gulf Suez, where two wells have been selected as injector’s In first well (A1), efficiency not good, whereas other analog A2 good assigned. it required assess loss low well, all aspects geological, studied were integrated get complete vision for failure. The available include core analysis (vertical horizontal permeabilities, helium porosity, bulk density, saturations), petrographical studies chemistry, production, history. quality examined set reliable X – Y plots between introduced both estimated using index, normalized porosity zone indicator.
